• Running away with your money. Some people may design a website that can show that they are legitimate. They can even lure to the idea of getting an instant degree. After paying the fee, you never hear from them again.
• Unaccredited schools. These courses can actually give you an education but the only problem is that the school is not accredited. Meaning that if your try to transfer school they will not consider the courses you have taken so you have to repeat it.
• Degree Mills. These are the worst scam ever. They are fake degree sold in market. Usually people buy them to show them to their employers.

After knowing different online degree scam, learn the signs that they are actually one.

1. If these online schools offer a degree in a short period of time then it must be a fraud
2. Try contacting the customer service representative of the school, if there are no one available then you can start thinking that there is something wrong about it.
3. Do some research using forums and blogs. You can read feed backs about the school.
4. Visit government education agencies where the school is said to be located. Ask if they know about it.
5. Check the fees, if it is too good to be true then perhaps it is.
6. Look for their accreditation certificate; if they can’t show one then it is ultimately a scam. There are trustworthy sites that can enable you to find out if the school is accredited or not.
